Gold Plating of a Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet for the Jewelry Industry

A customer in the jewelry industry approached G. Tanury Plating Co. in need of gold plating of sterling silver cuff bracelet. The plating needed to comply with the Federal Trade Commission requirement for Vermeil. We cleaned and activated the parts prior to applying rack silver and gold plating. We used a full range of top-of-the-line equipment on the cuff throughout the plating and cleaning processes. The bracelet measured 7" long and 3" wide. The silver plating measured 40µ"and the gold plating measured 100µ". Upon completing the silver and gold plating, we tested the product using x-ray fluorescence. We then shipped the finished cuffs to the customer in New York, who was highly satisfied with the service and results.
